For two decades K2A has designed places that enhance the neighborhood fabric—spaces for living, learning, healing, and working. In our projects, inspired design means more than beautiful structures. It means memorable spaces that improve people’s lives and allow them to better connect to their community.

Collaboration and client participation are the keys to our projects’ success. K2A works closely with clients, users, local community, governing authorities, and the contractor, to ensure a smooth transition from idea to reality. Through creative problem solving, we produce fine designs from site, structure, budget, and schedule challenges. We navigate the governing agency processes, so projects are as seamless as possible.

Principals Steve Kolm and Henry Kwong began the firm in 1990 with a shared vision that guides everything we do: ENGAGE the local community, CREATE beautiful spaces, and TRANSFORM the neighborhoods of those we serve.
